My next task was to choose which way that I wanted to go. Did I want to be deep, dark and sensitive? Or did I want to be laid back, or did I want to relay a message? There were so many paths that branched out from happy and sad, I followed the happy path. Afterwards I chose an unnamed path right after Mellow, on the right. If you've reached Lovey Dovey Lane, then you've gone too far. It's on the corner of Laid Back and Inseparable Love.
"Better Together" by Jack Johnson. This song has done wonders for me, it always throws me a rope to pull me out of that cold, dark place. It always puts a montage of great moments that me and my girlfriend have had together. A song that can paint images so vividly, and bandage up any fouls committed in a relationship is a keeper. All it takes is for the vibe of togetherness to reach her memories, and next thing I know we're hugging and making up, by the second verse.
I appreciate Jack Johnson and the peaceful vibes that he spread throughout the entire room, when Better Together plays. A room filled with so much love can only burst at the seams with nothing other than more love. Such an extreme reaction to such a peaceful song is the epitome of Irony. I see no room for hate with this song being the theme.

"Better Together"
There's no combination of words I could put on the back of a postcard
No song I could sing
But I can try for your heart
Our dreams, and they are made out of real things
Like a, shoebox of photographs
With sepia tone loving
Love is the answer,
At least for most of the questions in my heart
Like why are we here? and where do we go?
And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy and
Sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing its always better when we're together
[Chorus:]
MMM its always better when we're together
Look at the stars when we're together
Its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together
[End Chorus:]
And all of these moments
Just might find there way into my dreams tonight.
But I know that they'll be gone
When the morning light sings
And brings new things
But tomorrow night you see
That they'll be gone too
Too many things I have to do
But if all of these dreams might find there way
Into my day to day scene
Ill be under the impression
I was somewhere in between
With only two
Just me and you
Not so many things we got to do
Or places we got to be
We'll Sit beneath the mango tree
Its always better when we're together
We're somewhere in between together
Its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together
MMmmmm MMMmmmm Mmmmmm
I believe in memories
They look so, so pretty when I sleep
Hey now, and when I wake up,
You look so pretty sleeping next to me
But there is not enough time,
And there is no song I could sing
And there is no, combination of words I could say
But I will still tell you one thing
We're Better together.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I too listen to music when I have a problem or when I'm upset with someone. I gives me a sense of serenity because with certain songs I can loose myself in and forget everything around me. I feel more calm or more at ease which makes me realize the situation how to fix it.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about this song. I had never heard of Jack Johnson, but after hearing this song I doubt I will forget him. Is voice is so unique and peaceful, after listening to the music you had posted I went and down loaded a few of his other songs and they are all great. I don't see how any buddy could argue or fight while listening to this song. Only if they could play this on a load speaker right now over in Iraq
